Newcastle ended their losing streak with a draw against Everton, having recovered from two behind. They will try to win this game and escape from the relegation zone. Manchester City lost from Liverpool despite leading 2:0 at half time and Mark Hughes will have a difficult job of lifting the players’ spirits after such a disappointing defeat.

Manchester City returned to winning ways with another win in the UEFA Cup over Omonia, but they will be looking to improve league form as well. They will have a difficult job against in–form Liverpool, the team that won their last three games. The Reds are playing very well at the moment, and they are tied with Chelsea at the top of the table.

Still, the focus is on the Premier League, and this will be the game where City will give their best.
